Our Wedding

Some love stories start with a spark, others with a swipe but ours began long before we even realized it. If you go digging through the archives (or, more accurately, our old photo albums, which you can see one down below), you’ll find proof that we crossed paths as kids. Back then, our best friends, Brian and Caroline, were the ones keeping us connected. But as life would have it, years passed, and we went our separate ways, completely unaware of what the future had in store. Fast forward 11 years. Caroline mentioned to Michael that Brianne would be attending Santa Barbara City College, where he was already a student. In a thoughtful gesture, Michael reached out to offer a tour, an offer Brianne gracefully declined. Life went on, and after graduation, both of us found ourselves back in our hometown of Palos Verdes. In the summer of 2019, everything changed. We finally ran back into each other at a bar, and the next day, Michael invited Brianne and her friend Alyssa over to swim with him and his friend Kole. They came over that day… and the next… and from then on, we just kept choosing each other. What started as chance encounters and missed connections turned into something undeniable. Now, after years of laughter, love, and a few ignored text messages, we can't wait to spend forever together.

We’ve secured a limited special-rate room block at the Grand Hyatt Kauai, where all wedding festivities will take place, so you’ll never have to leave the resort 🍹🌴 The room block is available October 21–24, 2026 at our special group rate, but guests are welcome to choose any check-in and check-out dates. You can stay just for the wedding or turn it into a full vacation by arriving up to 7 days before or staying up to 7 days after (based on hotel availability). If you experience any issues when booking, such as an error message or no availability showing, try adjusting your check-in or check-out dates by a day or two, or call the Grand Hyatt directly for assistance. If you’re planning to use Uber or Lyft while you’re here, just a little heads up, there aren’t a ton of drivers on the island, so rides might take a while. We recommend planning ahead so you’re not stuck waiting when you’re ready to hit the beach (or the dance floor)!

Taxis Need a ride? There are plenty of taxi companies on the island that are reliable and fairly priced! Some good options include Kauai Taxi Company, Kauai VIP Transportation, and 3 J’s Taxi Kauai. Give them a call and they’ll get you where you need to go, island style! Hotel Shuttles Many hotels offer shuttle services that can take you to nearby beaches, restaurants, or wherever you need to be. Definitely check with your hotel, it’s an easy (and often free!) way to get around without any hassle. The Grand Hyatt has a free shuttle service (but it is advised to Tip!) The Bus Kauai has a public bus system with super affordable fares. Having your own wheels gives you total freedom to explore waterfalls, beaches, and sunsets at your own pace.

The Kalalau Trail along the Na Pali Coast on Kauai's North shore is one of the most iconic adventures, offering dramatic ocean views, lush valleys, and towering cliffs. Many hikers enjoy the first two miles to Hanakapiai Beach- a beautiful and rewarding experience without needing a permit. The trail can be muddy, rocky, and steep in places, but it's well worth the effort! Wear sturdy shoes, bring a lot of water, and take your time. For those wanting a bigger challenge, you can continue another two miles inland to Hanakapiai Falls, where a stunning 300-foot waterfall awaits. - 2-mile hike to Hanakapiai Beach- 4-mile hike to Hanakapiai Falls- Full 11-mile trail to Kalalau Beach (camping required) If interested, access to the trailhead requires a reservation on the shuttle. It is recommended you reserve the shuttle pass ASAP as they sell out.

We invite our guests to dress in semi-formal, cocktail attire to celebrate our special day. Think elegant and island-appropriate with long dresses or formal midi dresses for women, and suits for men. Jackets are encouraged, and ties are welcome but optional. Lighter fabrics and tropical colors are perfect for our Kauai setting. Please note: our ceremony and cocktail reception will take place outdoors and on grass. We recommend block heels, wedges, or flats instead of stiletto heels for comfort and ease. We also kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing mini dresses, white, ivory, or cream. Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable and ready to celebrate with us in paradise.
